Park Silver Development, LLC is a real estate development and investment management firm formed in 2019 with permanent capital and strategic support from the Bainum family. Park Silver is focused on opportunistic investment in real estate and development throughout the United States. With a base of permanent capital, Park Silver seeks real estate investments that create long-term shareholder value.
Legacy
The Bainum Family Park Silver legacy dates back to 1951 when Stewart Bainum Sr. founded White Oak Legacy, Inc. (recently renamed White Oak Enterprises) as a real estate development firm and family investment office. With a focus on developing apartments, homes, hotels, and nursing homes, Mr. Bainum and his son and long-time business partner Stewart Bainum Jr. became synonymous with the creation and growth of some of the world's best known companies and brands, including: HCR Manor Care, a global leader in skilled nursing and assisted living; Vitalink Pharmacy Services, a leading institutional pharmacy provider; and Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH), the parent company of the Comfort Inn and Quality Inn franchised hotel brands.
Real Estate
For more than six decades, multiple generations of the Bainum family have successfully owned and operated these and other public and private companies, including Sunburst Hospitality. Sunburst, an affiliate of Park Silver, owns hotels in multiple states and has developed residential real estate, mid-market, limited-service, and extended stay hotels nationwide. In 2008, Sunburst, led by current Park Silver executives, completed the development of The Vista on Courthouse, a $100 million, 252-unit urban residential complex in Arlington, VA.
